I began painting and drawing when I was very young. Doodling was the first form of art I took on. I decided to advance to a more satisfying way of expressing myself and eventually began painting. First I worked with oils then watercolor and now I have realized that using acrylics is the best way to express what I am envisioning. I studied Journalism/Graphic Arts at the University of Minnesota. What I found was that I enjoyed using paint, pen and pencil to create graphic design. I've continued this focus and have worked as an illustrator and painter. I have been working as an illustrator for 15 years - but I have started again to paint on canvas and show my work. I have shown through Signature Gallery, St. Paul,MN and Edina Art Center, Edina,MN. and Water Street Gallery, Wayzata,MN. I currently have my paintings at Art Holdings in Minneapolis. As an illustrator I have worked with and sold illustration to Target, Nordstrom, General Mills, Honeywell, MCI, American Express, and a number of hospitals and retail companies. I live with my two children in Minneapolis. They're always an inspiration to me and I hope that I show them that it's important and wonderful to be able to do what you love.
